# Copy a testimonial to another project

Duplicate a testimonial into another project with its video, photos and translations, and see why a project can't take a copy.

To use a testimonial in more than one project, copy it with **Duplicate to other projects**. The original stays where it is, and the copy is a testimonial of its own in the other project: editing or deleting one doesn't change the other. The workspace owner and a project's Admins and Members can copy a testimonial. Viewers can't.

1. **Open the testimonial's More menu**

On **Pending** or **Approved**, click **Show more** on the testimonial's card, then **More** › **Duplicate to other projects**.

2. **Choose the projects**

Tick each project the copy should go to, up to 10 at a time. In a long list, type in **Search projects...** to find one. A project that can't take the copy is listed with the reason and can't be ticked: see [Why a project can't be ticked](#why-a-project-cant-be-ticked).

3. **Click Duplicate**

A message says how many projects got a copy. If a project refused it, the window stays open and a message gives that project's name and the reason.

## What a copy keeps

- **Its review state.** A copy of an approved testimonial arrives approved, so a widget or Wall of Love page that picks testimonials automatically in the other project can show it at once. A copy of a pending testimonial arrives in **Pending**.
- **Its content:** the text, rating, title, date and tags, the author's details, the photos, and the video with its trim and transcript.
- **Its source.** A Google review is still a Google review in the other project, with its badge and under the same source filter.
- **Its translations.** See [Translate testimonials](/help/manage/translate-testimonials).

Three things stay behind: its custom field answers, which belong to the first project's fields, its places on Wall of Love pages, and its AI analysis.

## Why a project can't be ticked

**The project already has this testimonial.** A project takes one copy of a testimonial. The same goes for the project the original is in, and for a project that already imported the same social post. To copy it there again, delete the one that's there first.

**The project is read-only.** The reason says why, and who can fix it. See [Project is read-only](/help/troubleshooting/project-is-read-only).

A project at its plan's limit can be ticked, and refuses the copy when you click **Duplicate**, with the limit in the message. See [Plan limits](/help/account/plan-limits).

## Why a project isn't listed

The list holds the projects you can add testimonials to: the ones where you're the owner, an Admin or a Member. A project where you're a Viewer isn't in it.

A project in another workspace is listed only if you're the owner or an Admin of the project the testimonial is in. A copy into another workspace takes the testimonial, with its customer's details, out of this one, so it needs a role that can export. When projects are left out for this reason, a line under the list says so. See [Roles](/help/account/invite-team-members#roles).

If the window says "There is no other project to copy this testimonial to.", no other project is open to you for this copy.

## A video that's still processing

A video testimonial can't be copied until its video is ready. The window says so instead of listing projects. See [Video testimonial still processing](/help/troubleshooting/video-still-processing).

## What happens next

- The copy is in the other project's inbox. If it arrived in **Pending**, approve it there: see [Approve, reject and archive testimonials](/help/manage/approve-reject-and-archive).
- To fill in the other project's custom fields for the copy, see [Custom fields](/help/manage/custom-fields).
- To move a testimonial rather than keep it in both projects, copy it, then delete the original.
