Create a case study from a testimonial

Turn an approved testimonial into a short case study with one of four templates, and see what it costs in AI credits and where its text is kept.

Proof Intelligence can write a short case study from one approved testimonial: a headline, a summary and a few sections, in the shape of the template you pick. Each case study uses 2 AI credits. It's on Premium and Business, for the workspace owner and the project's Admins and Members; Viewers can't create one.

Open the testimonial's Proof Intelligence window

In your project's sidebar, open Approved. Click Show more on the testimonial, open its AI menu and choose View AI insights. A testimonial on Pending has no AI menu, so approve it first.

To find good candidates, click + Filter above the list, choose Recommended asset, then Case study: it lists the testimonials Proof Intelligence expects to work best as one.

Pick a template

Open the menu beside Create case study. It starts on Outcome-led.

The four templates says what each one writes.

Create it

Click Create case study. The buttons show a spinner while it's written. Then "Case study generated" appears, and the case study is added to the top of Generated Documents, at the bottom of the window, under a title that starts "Case study:" and a badge with its template.

Copy the text

Select the case study's text in the window and copy it to wherever you'll use it: there's no copy or download button. It has a headline, a short summary, its sections and sometimes a closing call to action marked CTA:.

The case study is written only from the testimonial and its analysis. It's AI-written all the same, so read it before you publish it and check that every claim is one your customer made.

The four templates

The menu beside Create case study offers four templates: Outcome-led, Migration narrative, Practitioner journey and Use-case spotlight.

TemplateWhat it writesThe sections it asks for
Outcome-ledLeads with the result, then tells how it came about. Suits landing pages and sales decksThe starting point, What changed, The result
Migration narrativeThe story of moving from a competitor or an old way of workingBefore — the old way, Why we moved, How migration went, Where we are now
Practitioner journeyA longer, personal story with the customer at its centerThe job, The hunt, The pivot, The setup, The win, What's next
Use-case spotlightBuilt around one use case or one kind of customerThe use case, The team, The setup, The metric

A section is reworded or left out when the testimonial has nothing to say for it.

Create case study in the card's AI menu

Create case study is also in the card's AI menu, under View AI insights. There it starts as soon as you click, always with the Outcome-led template, and uses its credits straight away. When it's done, the window opens with the new case study. To choose another template, use the window.

What it costs

A case study uses 2 AI credits. If the testimonial isn't analyzed yet, or what it says has changed since its analysis, it's analyzed first, for 1 more credit.

Every click on Create case study writes a new case study and uses credits again, so trying all four templates on one testimonial uses 8 credits. If writing fails, the 2 credits are returned. With too few credits, it stops with "Insufficient AI credits" and the numbers you have and need. See Buy and manage AI credits.

Edit, replace or delete a case study

A case study can't be edited or deleted in the window, and there's no regenerate button. Create case study adds another one and leaves the earlier ones in the list, so edit the text after you've copied it. Deleting the testimonial deletes its case studies with it.

A case study never changes the testimonial itself, and it isn't shown on your widgets, Wall of Love pages or share pages. It stays in the testimonial's Proof Intelligence window.
