Proof Intelligence
How AI reads each testimonial for sentiment, themes, features and a showcase score, where you see the results, and the AI credits it uses.
Proof Intelligence is ReTestimonial's AI analysis. It reads each testimonial and records what it's about and how strong it is as proof, so you can find, filter and pick your best testimonials faster. It's included on Premium and Business, and each analysis uses AI credits.
What it finds in a testimonial
For each testimonial, Proof Intelligence records:
- Sentiment: positive, mixed, neutral or negative, with a score out of 100.
- Theme, Feature and use case: what the testimonial is mainly about, the product feature it mentions and what the customer used the product for, plus a scored list of other themes and use cases.
- Showcase Score: a score out of 100 for how useful the testimonial is as proof. It favors concrete results, specific detail and quotable lines. It's the AI's estimate, not a measured result. The inbox calls it AI Score.
- Summary: a short marketing summary.
- Pain Points & Outcomes: the problem the customer had and the result they got.
- Quote Candidates: the lines worth quoting, each with why it works and a score.
- A recommended asset: whether the testimonial would work best as a case study, image, video, widget, wall or quote.
It also notes who the customer is (such as their role, industry or company size), objections it answers, trust signals and key phrases. They aren't shown as fields, but AI search and some widget suggestions use them.
To do this, it reads the testimonial's text (and a video's transcript), its title and rating, the author's name, job title and company, where it came from and its custom fields.
How analysis runs
Automatically. Testimonials on your inbox's Pending and Approved pages are analyzed on their own: a new one usually within a few minutes, and everything else that isn't analyzed yet in batches after it, newest first. That includes a large import and the testimonials you had before your plan included Proof Intelligence, so a large backlog can take several hours. Archived testimonials and spam aren't analyzed. Automatic analysis runs only while the project has AI credits to spend. When they run out, testimonials wait, and analysis picks up again once credits are available. You can switch it off for a project with Analyze testimonials automatically in the Proof AI window: see Automatic analysis uses credits on its own.
After a change. When what a testimonial says changes after its analysis (its text, transcript, title, rating, author details, custom fields or date), its analysis runs again automatically, and that run uses another credit. Approving it or changing its tags doesn't: the analysis may show as stale for a few minutes, then stays as it was, with no credit used.
On request. You can also start the analysis yourself: Start Analysis in the Proof AI window queues every testimonial that's waiting, and Reanalyze runs one approved testimonial again. Start Analysis queues the whole backlog at once instead of in batches, and it's how testimonials get analyzed while automatic analysis is switched off. It also retries a testimonial whose analysis failed straight away: on its own, automatic analysis tries that one again a few hours later. See Analyze your testimonials with Proof Intelligence.
If an analysis fails, its credit is returned.
Where you see the results
- Inbox cards show a testimonial's Theme and AI Score once it's analyzed.
- View AI insights, in a card's AI menu on the Approved page, opens a Proof Intelligence window with that testimonial's Sentiment, Theme, Feature, Showcase Score, Summary, Themes & Use Cases, Pain Points & Outcomes and Quote Candidates.
- Proof AI, in the inbox toolbar, shows what share of the project's testimonials is analyzed. Click it to see the Analysis Coverage, the project's AI credits and its Top Themes, Feature Mentions and Use Cases.
- Filters and sort. In the inbox, filter by Sentiment, Theme, Feature, Use case, Recommended asset or Analysis state, sort by AI score, or describe what you want with AI search. See Filter and search your inbox.
- The Insights page. Click Overview under Analyze in the project sidebar for the project's Sentiment Breakdown, Theme Breakdown, Feature Mentions, Pain Point → Outcome, Strongest Proof and Top Quote Candidates. Its Coverage and Backfill Cost show how much is analyzed and the credits needed for the rest.
- Auto-sync. Widgets and Walls of Love can keep only testimonials with a given sentiment, theme, feature, use case or minimum Showcase score, sort by AI score and Diversify themes. See Fill a widget with auto-sync.
- Widget suggestions. Some widget styles have buttons such as Suggest metrics with AI that suggest content from your analyzed testimonials, at no credit cost. The Review Summary Panel badge's Generate with AI writes its Summary Text from them, for one credit.
- Proof Gaps uses the analysis to check which of your target pages have matching proof.
Case studies and emphasized text
From a testimonial's AI menu, or its Proof Intelligence window, you can also turn it into new copy:
- Create case study writes a short case study from one of four templates. See Create a case study from a testimonial.
- Emphasize text writes a one-liner, a short quote, a social caption and a few highlights.
The results are listed under Generated Documents in the window, as text you can copy. Neither changes the testimonial itself.
What it costs
Proof Intelligence spends AI credits:
| Action | AI credits |
|---|---|
| Analyzing a testimonial, automatically or on request | 1 |
| Create case study | 2 |
| Emphasize text | 1 |
| Generate with AI in a Review Summary Panel badge | 1 |
A case study or emphasized text for a testimonial that isn't analyzed yet, or is stale, analyzes it first, for one more credit. Reanalyze always uses one credit, even when the testimonial hasn't changed since its last analysis. If an action fails, its credits are returned. AI search, filters, sorting and the widget suggestion buttons don't use credits.
Premium and Business include AI credits every month (50 for each active project on Premium, 150 on Business, shared by all your projects), and you can buy more. See Buy and manage AI credits.
Who can use it
- Everyone on the project, Viewers included, sees the Theme and AI Score on cards, the Proof AI summary and the Insights page.
- The workspace owner, Admins and Members can start analysis, use Reanalyze, open View AI insights and create case studies and emphasized text.
- The workspace owner and Admins can set credits aside for the project with Manage AI Budget in the Proof AI window.
On other plans, the workspace owner and Admins see Upgrade for AI in place of Proof AI, and the inbox's Proof Intelligence filters and AI search aren't available.
