Set up your brand kit
Save your brand colour, fonts, end-card copy and b-roll images once, so every new social video starts on-brand.
Your brand kit holds the colour, fonts and end-card copy that new social videos start from, plus b-roll images for the Product Cutaway template. Each workspace has one brand kit, and only the workspace owner can change it.
Open your brand kit
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, choose Workspace settings, then click Brand kit.
Choose your colours
Under Colours, click Choose a colour in a row, then pick a colour or type a hex code such as #FF6B35.
- Brand colour is used for highlights, buttons and accents in every new video. Each template keeps its own background and text colours.
- Background and Text are applied only when you click Use brand colours in the video editor.
To remove a colour, click Clear.
Pick your fonts
Under Fonts, choose a Display font for titles and quotes and a Body font for names, labels and captions. A font you leave unset stays the template's own. Fonts uploaded to a project aren't offered here.
Write your end card
The end card is what new videos close on. Under End card, fill in the lines you want:
- Headline: the card's main line.
- Subline: the line under it. If you leave it empty, your Tagline is used instead.
- Button label: the text on the button of the Button end card.
- Link: an address such as
yoursite.com/demo. It's shown as text on the card, because nobody can click a video. - Tagline: a short line about your business.
Your workspace logo, set under General, is the default logo on new videos.
Save your changes
Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the page (Save on a phone), or Discard to undo your edits. If a colour or the link can't be used, the row says what to change, and you can save once it's fixed.
Add b-roll images
Under B-roll, click Add images and choose photos of your product or place, in JPEG, PNG or WebP. The card shows the largest file and the number of images you can add. Each image is saved as soon as it uploads, so it doesn't need Save changes.
To remove an image, click the X on its thumbnail (on a computer, hover over the image to see it).
How new videos use your brand kit
When you start a new social video, the editor fills in your brand kit. You can still change every setting in that video.
| Brand kit | In the video editor |
|---|---|
| Brand colour | Accent Color in the Design tab |
| Background and Text | Applied when you click Use brand colours in the Design tab. The button appears once your kit has a colour. |
| Display font and Body font | Display font and Body font in the Design tab. Reset to Template Defaults returns to them and to your brand colour. |
| Headline, Subline (or Tagline) and Link | Headline, Subtitle (optional) and Link (optional) under End Card CTA in the Branding tab |
| Button label | The Button end card in the Template tab |
| Workspace logo | Logo in the Branding tab |
| B-roll | The Product Cutaway template only |
The logo and the end card are on Pro, Premium and Business.
Good to know
- It applies to new videos only. A template you saved with Save as Template opens exactly as you saved it, and videos you've already exported don't change. If the video editor is open while you change the kit, open the editor again to use the new version.
- B-roll plays only in Product Cutaway, after the testimonial's own photos, and never in the photo templates. Product Cutaway is made from a video testimonial and needs at least one photo. Your b-roll counts, so once you've added some, a video testimonial without photos can use it too.
- It's for social videos only. Testimonial images have their own colours, fonts and logo in the image editor.
- Teammates use the owner's kit. Videos your teammates make in your projects start from your brand kit. The Brand kit page always shows the workspace you own, so when you work in someone else's projects, those videos use their kit, which only they can change.
What happens next
- Social videos explains the templates and how the video editor works.
- Make a social video walks you through your first video.
- Export social videos covers formats and downloads.
- Create testimonial images covers images, which don't use the brand kit.
