Upgrade to a paid plan

Move your workspace from Free to a paid plan on the Billing page, with the billing cycle, project licences and team seats you choose.

To move from Free to a paid plan, open Billing, click Choose a plan, pick a plan and pay at checkout. Paid features unlock as soon as your payment is confirmed. Only the workspace owner can upgrade.

To compare the plans first, see Plans and pricing. If you're already on a paid plan, see Change your plan, project licences or seats.

Choose a plan

Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and choose Billing. On the Overview tab, click Choose a plan. Under Choose a paid plan, pick the plan you want.

Set your billing cycle and licences

Under Billing cycle, choose Monthly, or Yearly · 2 months free, which is charged once a year. Set Project licences to the number of projects you want active. On Premium and Business, you can also add Team seats: the line under it shows how many your plan includes and what an extra seat costs. The Summary shows your Plan total.

For what a licence and a seat are, see Project licences and team seats.

Pay at checkout

Click Continue to secure Checkout and pay. Checkout shows the tax and your total before you pay. Back on Billing, a Confirming your subscription notice appears, and paid features unlock as soon as your payment is confirmed: the notice then reads Subscription confirmed. If your plan hasn't changed, see I paid, but my plan hasn't changed. What now?.

If you leave checkout without paying

If you leave checkout without paying, no plan starts. If you went back from the checkout page, Billing shows a Checkout cancelled notice. While that checkout is still open, it also shows Billing action in progress, and Continue to secure Checkout can't be clicked. To choose again, click Abandon checkout and start over in that notice, if it appears. You can then pick a different plan or number of licences.

If your card was declined, see If your card was declined at checkout.

If checkout says to remove team members

Teammates and invitations from a paid plan you had before stay with your workspace, and each still uses a seat. If the plan you pick has fewer seats than that, Continue to secure Checkout answers Remove 1 team member or pending invitation before changing to the selected plan (with your own number). Choose a plan with enough seats, or remove the people you no longer need on the Team page first. See Teammates kept from an earlier plan.

What happens next

The Overview tab shows your new plan, what you pay and the date it renews. Each licence keeps one project active, and on Premium and Business you can invite teammates.

A project that was read-only stays read-only until you click Reactivate on its card: more licences don't reactivate it by themselves. See Reactivate the project.
