Show testimonials in Notion
Notion can't run embed scripts, so paste a widget's Embed URL into an Embed block, and add your Wall of Love to a page as a link.
Notion doesn't run the scripts that show a ReTestimonial widget on a website, so the usual embed code does nothing there. What works is a widget's Embed URL: a link to a page that shows just your widget, which you paste into a Notion Embed block.
Copy your widget's Embed URL
Open your widget in the widget builder and click Get code. Choose Iframe / Embed URL, then click Copy URL. If you haven't made a widget yet, start with Embed a widget on any website.
The URL shows your widget only while it's published. If the dialog says the widget is a draft, click Publish and copy code first, then click Copy URL again: the publish button copies the iframe code, not the URL. Publishing doesn't change the URL.
Leave Automatic sizing and Proof Impact unticked. It relies on a script on your page, which Notion can't run.
Add an Embed block in Notion
On your Notion page, type /embed on a new line and choose Embed. Paste the URL into the box that appears and click Embed link. Paste the URL itself, starting with https, not the iframe code.
Size the block
Hover over the block and drag the handles on its sides to set the width, and its bottom edge to set the height. Make it tall enough that the widget isn't cut off.
Good to know
- Some styles can't go in Notion. If Iframe / Embed URL is greyed out and the dialog says This style requires the script embed., the style works only with the script. Every floating style is one of them. Pick another style, or create a separate widget for Notion.
- Changes reach Notion by themselves. Edits you publish in the builder show up through the same URL. If you don't see them yet, reload the Notion page after a few minutes.
- Pop-ups stay inside the block. Dialogs the widget opens appear within the embed, so give it room.
- "Failed to Load" in Notion means Notion couldn't embed the address. Check that you pasted the Embed URL, not the script code.
- "This widget is unavailable" inside the block usually means the widget isn't published. See Widget not showing.
Add your Wall of Love as a link
A Wall of Love can't appear inside a Notion page: Notion can't run its embed code, and its hosted page doesn't allow other sites to embed it. Link to it instead:
- Publish the wall, then open Share in the builder's top bar and click Copy link.
- Paste the link into your Notion page and choose Paste as bookmark.
Notion shows a card with the page's title and description. You set them under Search & social preview in the Hosted Page tab. See Design your Wall of Love page.
Show one video testimonial
A single approved video testimonial that was uploaded or recorded in ReTestimonial has its own embed page, which also works in a Notion Embed block. Videos imported from YouTube, Vimeo or another platform don't have one: Embed video stays greyed out, so paste the video's original link into Notion instead. In your inbox, click Show more on the testimonial, open Share and choose Embed video. On the Copy link tab, click Copy, then paste the link into an Embed block as in step 2. The video plays there only while Embed enabled is on, in the dialog's Embed video tab. It's on unless you turned it off.
