A Chrome extension, project brand kits, and no more gift cards

A Chrome extension saves reviews from any page, each project gets a brand kit, share pages show your name and button, and gift cards are gone.

New

Save testimonials from any web page with the Chrome extension

Install ReTestimonial: Capture Testimonials from the Chrome Web Store and connect it to your account. Open its side panel on X, LinkedIn, G2, Trustpilot, Capterra or Yelp and it lists the reviews and posts on the page: tick the ones you want, check what it read, and save them to the project you choose. On Google Maps, click the extension's button first. On any other page, pick the part that holds the praise, select its words, or capture an area.

Each capture brings the name, role, company, rating, date, photo and link with it, and waits in your Pending inbox for approval. Read with AI fills in the details a page doesn't state plainly, and never rewrites a quote. The extension is free on every plan, and each plan has a daily allowance of AI readings. See Save testimonials with the browser extension.

Tag a whole selection, and restore Archived in bulk

Select testimonials in Pending or Approved and click Tag in the bar. Choose Add or Remove, then click a tag: it goes onto, or comes off, every selected testimonial. The selection stays, so you can add several tags in a row, and the message counts only the testimonials that changed. Archived has a bar of its own now: tick testimonials, or click Select all, then Restore or Delete. See Act on several testimonials at once.

Improved

Each project has its own brand kit

The brand kit moved from your workspace settings to each project: open the project's settings and click Brand Kit. A project for each brand or client now keeps its own colours, fonts, end card, b-roll and logo, and its new social videos and testimonial images start from them. The project logo from General is now the default logo on new videos and images. Admins of a project can change its kit, not only the workspace owner. A kit you set in workspace settings before this change isn't carried over: set it up again in each project. See Set up your brand kit.

Your brand colours at the top of the colour pickers

Add up to 8 more colours to your kit's new Palette. Once the kit has a colour, the colour pickers in the project show a Brand colours row first, with your brand colour, background, text and palette, in the widget, Wall of Love and form builders and in the video and image editors. The colour picker is also smaller, so it covers less of the page you're editing, and the video and image editors and the Embed settings tab now use the same picker as the builders. See Set up your brand kit.

Type a colour as a hex code, RGB or HSL

The colour picker in the builders, the editors and the settings now has a menu beside its boxes: choose HEX to type a code such as #FF6633, or RGB or HSL to type numbers. Switching never changes the colour, and the picker remembers your choice in this browser. See Set up your brand kit.

Gift card rewards are no longer offered. A form's reward is a Coupon Code, an External Link or Custom HTML, given to everyone (Global Reward), through the Spin to Win wheel, or by type of testimonial (Tiered Rewards). The project's Rewards page and settings tab, the Rewards wallet in your settings and the rewards balance on Billing are gone with them. A form still set to send a gift card gives no reward until you choose another Delivery Method on its Rewards tab. See Set up a reward on a form.

Share pages carry your name and a button you choose

Share pages have a page of their own: open Share, then Share pages. Each page now shows your project's logo and name at the top, linked to your website, and a button under the testimonial that goes where you choose: your Wall of Love, your website, your review form or a link of your own, with your own words. The new Your brand style draws the pages in your brand kit's colour, and only the custom fields you pick are shown. The preview draws the real page at desktop or phone size with one of your own testimonials, and Link preview shows the picture a post or a chat shows for the link. See Testimonial share pages.

Import a social post by pasting its link

On Social Media, paste a post's link into the box at the top of the page: the post is fetched at once and opens for you to check before it's saved. Every post now has the same card, in rows read left to right, newest first, with its status and Approve at the bottom, so long names and headlines no longer run into each other. Pending shows only the posts that wait for your approval, with their count. See Social media imports.

Deleting asks in the app, with the number

Deleting testimonials in your inbox, Archived, Spam or the Bulk delete table now asks in the app's own box, which says how many testimonials it deletes, instead of the browser's. In Pending and Approved it also says that archiving keeps them. See Act on several testimonials at once.

Tag colors on your inbox cards

A tag you gave a color in Manage Tags now shows it as a dot on each testimonial's card, in Pending, Approved, Archived and Spam, so you can tell your kinds of testimonial apart at a glance. A tag without a color looks as before. See Organize testimonials with tags.

Filter your inbox by persona

Proof AI notes who is speaking in each testimonial, such as "Agency owners" or "Engineering leads". You can now filter by it: choose Persona under + Filter or in All filters, or ask for it in AI search, like "agency owners on G2". It's part of Proof Intelligence. See Filter and search your inbox.

Go back to the full video after a trim

The Trim video window has Use full video, which puts both handles back at the ends, and it says how much of the video plays. Undo changes puts the handles back where they were when you opened it. Your original video is always kept. See Edit a testimonial.

Mark as Spam in Pending

Spam that scores under your threshold arrives in Pending, often with a Suspicious badge. Its card's More menu, under Show more, now has Mark as Spam, as an approved card's does. It goes to Spam, where it's deleted for you after 30 days, instead of waiting in Archived after a Reject. See Keep spam out of your inbox.

Imports

  • G2 reviews come in with the reviewer's praise as their text. The headline becomes the title and the review links to G2, while what the reviewer dislikes and G2's Incentivized label show beside it under All Imports instead of in the text. See Import G2 reviews.
  • Capterra imports bring the reviews you ask for. On the Business plan an import brings as many reviews as you choose, in the Sort order you pick and above a new Minimum Star Rating, with the pros as the text and the cons, comments and sub-ratings beside it under All Imports. See Import Capterra reviews.
  • A file's tags take your project's spelling. A tags column that writes enterprise for your Enterprise tag adds Enterprise, instead of a second tag only that import used. See Import file columns and formats.

Videos

  • Wall of Love pages show your transcript corrections in their captions, as widgets and share pages already did. See Edit a testimonial.
  • Removing a transcript removes its captions everywhere. Before, the video kept showing them. See Edit a testimonial.
  • The transcript editor writes punctuation and numbers as the captions do, as in "2,000 affiliates." instead of "2 , 000 affiliates .", while a spoken list keeps its spaces ("1, 2, 3"). See Edit a testimonial.
  • Trim is offered only to teammates who can edit testimonials, and a refused save says why. See Edit a testimonial.

Editing

  • A company logo keeps its whole shape. A wide logo was cut to a square, and its upload message said "Avatar". See Edit a testimonial.
  • A Wall of Love on your own domain shows an edit within minutes. It could show the old version for hours. See Edit a testimonial.

Spam

  • The Spam page fits a phone's screen. Its Spam Settings and Delete All Spam buttons go under the title instead of running off the edge. See Keep spam out of your inbox.
  • A video testimonial with no written words is no longer scored as short or as a copy. Before, it always got points for short text, and a second one from the same name looked like a copy, enough for a Suspicious badge. See Keep spam out of your inbox.
